Types & Grades

Types of Flooring Materials

01
1

Vitrified Tiles — GVT, PGVT & Double Charge

Vitrified tiles (IS 15622) have water absorption <0.5%, making them virtually non-porous and highly stain resistant. Double Charge (DC) tiles: colour penetrates 3–4mm into the body — PEI Class 4–5 abrasion resistance for commercial floors. GVT (Glazed Vitrified Tiles): full graphic design options with matt or gloss finish. PGVT (Polished GVT): mirror-gloss finish for premium residential and lobby applications. Available in formats from 600×600mm to 1200×2400mm.

02
2

Natural Stone — Marble & Granite

Marble: soft stone (Mohs hardness 3–4) requiring regular sealing — preferred for premium residential bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms. Standard thickness 16mm or 20mm. Granite: hard stone (Mohs 6–7), acid and scratch resistant — ideal for kitchens, commercial floors, and outdoor paving. Indian granite grades: domestic (Kotah, Jhansi black) to premium export grades. Honed, polished, flamed, and bush-hammered finishes available.

03
3

Engineered Wood & Laminate Flooring

Engineered wood: real wood veneer (2–6mm) over cross-ply HDF or plywood core — more dimensionally stable than solid hardwood in the Indian climate (EMC 8–12%). AC Class 3 (residential heavy) to AC Class 5 (commercial heavy) wear layer ratings. Laminate flooring: high-resolution photograph under a melamine wear layer — cost-effective wood-look alternative.

04
4

LVT — Luxury Vinyl Tile & Plank

100% waterproof rigid-core LVT (SPC: Stone Plastic Composite) for residential, commercial, and healthcare environments. Wear layer: 0.3mm (light commercial) to 0.7mm (heavy commercial). PEI Class 4–5 for high-traffic areas. Realistic wood and stone embossed textures. Slip resistance R10 available for wet barefoot areas. Can be installed over existing flooring without levelling.

05
5

Epoxy & PU Floor Coatings

Two-component (2K) solvent-free epoxy systems for industrial, pharmaceutical, and commercial kitchen floors. Minimum 2–3mm DFT (Dry Film Thickness) for heavy-duty industrial floors. Self-levelling systems for seamless pharma cleanroom floors. Anti-static (ESD) epoxy: surface resistance 10⁵–10⁹ ohms for electronics manufacturing and server rooms.

06
6

Carpet & Carpet Tiles

Loop pile, cut pile, and cut-loop carpet tiles (500×500mm modules) for corporate offices, hospitality, and conference rooms. Solution-dyed nylon or polypropylene pile for stain resistance. Pile weight: 550–850 g/m² for commercial applications. Acoustic NRC values of 0.15–0.35 reduce sound transmission in open-plan offices.
