Hardware & Fittings
Architectural Hardware, Door Fittings & Structural Fasteners for Every Application
Architectural hardware and fittings determine the durability, security, and finish quality of every door, window, cabinet, and glass installation in a building. From 5-lever mortise locks (IS 3818) and heavy-duty SS 304 butt hinges to hydraulic door closers, soft-close cabinet hinges, and spider fittings for structural glass, the right hardware selection is critical for long-term performance — particularly in coastal, humid, or high-traffic environments. Buildigo connects builders, interior contractors, and procurement teams with verified hardware suppliers for bulk project procurement. Share your hardware schedule and receive competitive quotes.
Types & Grades
Types of Hardware & Fittings
Door Locks — Mortise, Cylindrical & Digital
Mortise locks (IS 3818) are fitted into a pocket cut into the door edge — more secure and durable than rim locks. 5-lever mortise locks with anti-drill hardened steel insert for main entrance doors. Cylindrical bored-in locks for interior rooms. Digital/smart locks with RFID, fingerprint, or PIN access for premium residential and hospitality applications.
Hinges — Butt, Piano & Concealed
Butt hinges (IS 729): standard hinge for flush doors. Interior doors (up to 60 kg): 3 hinges of 100×75mm SS 304 per door leaf. Exterior and heavy doors (above 60 kg): 4 hinges of 100×75mm or 125×100mm. Ball-bearing hinges for heavy or high-frequency-use doors. Concealed cup hinges (35mm cup) for modular kitchen and wardrobe doors — soft-close damper variants eliminate door slamming.
Door Closers & Floor Springs
Hydraulic door closers (EN 1154 rated) for automatically returning doors to closed position. Strength grades: EN 3 (standard interior fire doors) to EN 6 (heavy external doors in high wind exposure). Back-check function prevents door slamming damage. Floor springs for heavy all-glass or frameless doors — load capacity up to 120 kg per leaf.
Tower Bolts, Handles & Accessories
SS 304 tower bolts and flush bolts for door and window securing — SS 316 for coastal and high-humidity environments (superior chloride resistance). Lever handles in zinc alloy (ZA), SS, or brass. Door viewers (peepholes) 200° wide-angle for security. Door chains and security bolts for residential main entrance doors.
Cabinet & Furniture Fittings
Soft-close concealed hinges (35mm cup, 6-way adjustable) for kitchen and wardrobe doors. Full-extension ball-bearing drawer channels (soft-close / push-to-open) — load capacity 25–45 kg per pair. Tandem box / pull-out drawer systems for modular kitchen base units. Handles in SS 304, brushed nickel, matte black, and brass finishes.
Glass & Structural Fittings
Spider fittings and patch fittings for structural glass facades, glass partitions, and frameless shower enclosures. Minimum 10mm toughened safety glass (IS 2553) for structural glass doors. SS 316 spider arms and patch fittings for wet or coastal areas. Frameless glass door patch fittings: floor spring pivot + top pivot + D-handle.
